Cloud chasers have been creating quite a stir about these 24ct gold plated 0.5 ohm Clapton Coils.
These coils are for the Kanger Subtank series. The coils feature a Clapton build – renowned for excellent vapour production and stunning flavour. They are also rumoured to last a little longer than the average coil – approximately 3-4 weeks. That, of course, depends on how you treat them and the type of juice you are using.
It is very important to prime the coils before using and to stick to the wattage guidelines: 25- 45W.

This is a 15ft spool of 26/30 Gauge Kanthal Clapton Wire for serious vapers looking to build their own coils.
Clapton wire produces significant amounts of vapour for the cloud chaser but heats up a little slower owing to the extra resistance created by the double coil structure.

Joyetech eVic VT coils come in two varieties:
0.2 ohm CL nickel coil
0.5 ohm CLR Titanium coil
The coils are specifically designed for temperature controlled devices. The ‘R’ in the Titanium CLR coil stands for Reusable, Rewickable and Rebuildable. The coil features a unique body design, and allows users to conveniently replace the cotton and customise the coil resistance to their preference.
The initial feedback suggests that the Titanium coil is giving better flavour production in the temp-controlled eVic VT and vapes a little warmer than the Nickel – but you can decide that for yourself.
Both Nickel and Titanium coils use less e-juice to produce vapour at higher temperatures than Kanthal wire – so there’s a plus.
However, it is worth noting that Nickel is a soft, leaching metal, i.e. when heated some of the nickel is vaporised and there are concerns regarding this metal being inhaled in the vapour. Further testing is on-going at present. This is not the case with Titanium or Kanthal (which is a composite of iron, chromium and aluminium).

The replaceable LVC (Liquid Valve Controller) coil unit for the Joyetech Delta II Clearomiser.
The LVC innovative LVC technology embedded into the coil allows you to control the amount of e-juice absorbed by the internal organic cotton. The purpose of this is to allow higher viscous VG juices to soak heavily into the cotton; whereas if you’re using a higher percentage less viscous PG juice you can restrict the flooding by closing the valve.
